I create art to breathe by and strive for freshness in composition and style. I rely on our desires for beauty; for poetics; for balance. My collages are not pre-sketched. I progress through a conversation with each piece and let it speak softly to my sense of balance color and composition. In working with mix media collage the subject naturally manifests. The most common themes being the objectification of women in our culture as well as the unbalanced state of the world through focusing on the poverty and apathy I witness. I also work in clay, metal, photography, poetry, installation and most recently with abstract lamp making.
